Allison McMullen, PhD, D(ABMM)
Assistant Professor of Pathology at Augusta University & Medical Director of the Clinical Microbiology Lab at AU Medical Center, Augusta, GA

Dr. McMullen received her doctoral degree studying the Molecular Epidemiology of West Nile virus from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Chronic Viral Diseases Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), followed by a second postdoctoral fellowship in Medical and Public Health Microbiology at Washington University in St. Louis in 2016. She joined the faculty at Augusta University in July 2016 and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology.

Dr. McMullen’s research interests are focused primarily on antimicrobial susceptibility testing and resistance and new technology for clinical microbiology.
