Overview:
In this course, Dr. Jose Alexander will discuss antimicrobial resistance and the importance of detecting ESBL-producing organisms. In addition, Dr. Alexander will provide insight on how his facility is currently utilizing the VITEK 2 ADVANCED EXPERT SYSTEM™ (AES) to analyze MIC patterns and detect the presence of resistance mechanisms to help support antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.
